Craig Conover works hard for his money, both on Southern Charm and within his business, Sewing Down South. But when he recently posted a TikTok explaining why he works as hard as he does, one follower chimed in with a troll-like comment. This fan was lightly poking fun at his never-ending quest to succeed. Regardless, Craig still had a (kind) clapback at the ready.
Craig Conover is handing out gifts to employees this Christmas
Last year, according to The Daily Dish, Sewing Down South employed roughly 30 full-time employees. This number has since increased. So, Craig’s recent post makes sense. To explain, on TikTok, Craig posted a meme that read, “If you knew how many people win when I win, you’d understand that my ambition was never greed.”
But in the comments, one follower quipped, “Craig, go to bed,” followed by a laughing-while-crying emoji. Shortly after, Craig chimed in with a response to this suggestion.
“Just came from gifting all my family’s [company’s] 42 employee Christmas gifts. Heading back to Charleston to do the same at Sewing Down South.” As for his posted meme, Craig “Just saw an amazing quote that embodies why I work so hard and wanted to share,” he explained. And then, Craig did his best to shut down the noise by offering a word or two of kindness to this follower, who is likely wondering why her joke landed as it did with Craig.
“Hope you spread some goodwill this week and pass it on,” followed by the raised hands emoji, Craig penned. This poster later chimed back in to note that they were “an educator, storyteller, and CEO.” But, as of yet, Craig has not commented on their response.
