Tia Mowry is setting the record straight about her relationship with her twin sister. There has been speculation that the co-stars of the sitcom Sister, Sister, are at odds with one another.
Last year, Tia set off widespread rumors of a rift between her and Tamera Mowry-Housley. On her reality show, Tia Mowry: My Next Act, she mentioned how she wished that she and Tamera were still close. Tia went on to say that Tamera could pick up the phone and call her. That suggested to many that there was trouble in paradise between the two.

Contrary to what we heard, there is no bad blood between the Tia and Tamera co-stars. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Tia clarified her relationship with her sister. While she acknowledges that everybody thought the pair were on bad terms, Tia assured people, “that was not the case.” Tia adds that the world is used to seeing them together, given all the acting work they’ve done opposite each other.
Getting in touch face-to-face may not be so easy nowadays, according to Tia, because they live a little farther apart. In addition to that, they both have families with Tia and Tamera, each having two kids. Tia lives in Los Angeles while her sister is in Napa Valley. Tia’s show, My Next Act, was confirmed in 2024.
For Tia, the sisterly bond between the two is important and something they continue to work on. She adds that they’ve promised to reach out to one another once a week. In November, the sisters partnered with HomeGoods. While we often seem to associate Tia and Tamera together, they also have two brothers, Tahj and Tavior.
