On Southern Charm Season 11, Salley Carson is stuck in the middle of the feud between Venita Aspen and Craig Conover. Salley is best friends with Venita, and has a crush on Craig. However, Craig and Venita are feuding because she took Paige DeSorbo’s side in the breakup. Throughout the season, Venita feels as if Salley chose Craig over their friendship. Meanwhile, Craig seems more interested in Salley’s friend Charley Manley. Despite how many nights Salley spent in his hot tub. We’re sure to see more of these chaotic relationship dynamics when Southern Charm Season 11 continues. But where does Salley stand with Venita and Craig today?
Salley teases a major change in love triangle with Craig Conover and Charley Manley
This season, Salley set her sights on Craig, who is single and ready to mingle. However, Craig hit it off with Southern Charm newbie Charley at Salley’s event. Craig seems more enamored with Charley, making some viewers cringe at the intensity of Salley’s crush. She talks about Craig’s hot tub nonstop, got angry with Charley for flirting with him, and even considered buying chickens so she could spend time with him.
However, when Salley appeared on Two T’s In A Pod, she teased a shift in this dynamic. Salley revealed that viewers will hopefully see her feelings for Craig change “drastically” as Southern Charm Season 11 unfolds.
As for the other part of the love triangle, Salley said she felt “a little stabbed in the back at times” when Charley went for Craig. Especially because Salley was the one to introduce Charley to the friend group. Regarding her frustrations with Charley, Salley insists, “It was more about me and her friendship than it was about Craig.” Thankfully, she added that things are “good” between her and Charley now.
Is Salley still friends with Venita Aspen?
Salley’s friendship with Charley survived her crush on Craig, but what about the friendship with Venita? At the start of Southern Charm Season 11, Venita and Salley were best friends. However, Venita grew frustrated by Salley’s apparent Craig obsession amidst their feud. She also accused Salley of being too male-centered.
On the podcast, Salley said that things are mostly good between her and Venita. However, she has a bone to pick over some of her bestie’s confessionals. For instance, she was upset that Venita said she’s only a girl’s girl when a man isn’t involved.
“I’m frustrated with some of the things I’ve seen that she’s said,” Salley shared on the podcast. “I’m like, ‘Why would you say that when you didn’t feel that way really about me? Because you know that I am a girl’s girl for you.’” Salley admitted she was also frustrated because Venita went for JT Thomas last season while Salley was feuding with him. Sounds like Southern Charm fans can expect them to hash some things out at the reunion.
Salley also reacted to Venita’s hours-long date with Summer House star Carl Radke. She gushed that Carl is “super sweet,” and approves of a potential romance. “I actually think that they would be a good fit for each other,” Salley said, adding, “I’ve met him a few times, and I really like him. She deserves a good guy.”
What happened between Salley and West Wilson?
Everyone in the Bravosphere is talking about Venita and Carl’s date. But did Salley have her own Southern Charm/Summer House crossover romance?
Dating rumors spread about Salley and West Wilson after they went to a football game together in October. On the podcast, Salley told hosts Tamra Judge and Dolores Catania that she “played a little bit” with West. She gushed about how “great” he is. In addition to the game, she added, “we hung out at BravoCon. His personality is awesome. He’s very genuine.” She also agreed with Dolores that “If you’re hanging out with him, all of his attention is on you.” But Salley insists she’s currently single. Sounds like Bravo fans will have to wait and see if this connection turns into anything more.
Of course, in both Salley and Venita’s case, a Summer House romance means long distance. Since the Summer House cast resides in New York City while Salley and Venita both live in Charleston. For now, it sounds like fans can look forward to Salley and Venita’s appearance on Summer House in addition to the rest of Southern Charm Season 11.
