George Clooney Plotting ‘Secret Divorce Plan’ With French Citizenship — Source

George Clooney’s move to secure French citizenship alongside Amal Clooney has raised new questions about a potential divorce plan. While the Clooneys continue to raise their twins together and carry on with their busy careers, a source claimed that the actor has started thinking about what life could look like if their paths ever separated. Moreover, the person claims that the plan is not dramatic, but practical.

George Clooney ‘is meticulous about thinking ahead and preparing for all possibilities,’ per source

George and Amal Clooney, along with their eight‑year‑old twins, recently received French citizenship, and Radar Online exclusively reported that it is raising concerns about their divorce. With this major step overseas, the couple is allegedly spending less time at their longtime home in Lake Como. A source told the outlet, “George is meticulous about thinking ahead and preparing for all possibilities. This is really about flexibility and autonomy.”

The source informed Radar that Clooney wants a setup that would allow each parent to have a home base in different countries if they ever choose to live apart, to avoid public drama and keep life steady for their children. France plays a significant role in that plan due to its strong privacy laws.

Over the past few years, the Clooneys have built a wide network of properties across Europe and the U.S, owning homes in France, Italy, the U.K., New York, and Kentucky. Another source told the outlet that the spread creates a structure that allows them to work in separate locations while staying united as parents.

The couple married in 2014 and welcomed their twins in 2017. Since then, both have kept demanding international schedules, with a source claiming they are already “living basically totally separate lives” at times because of their work.

The insider stressed that Clooney’s French citizenship is a “deeply personal decision.” Besides, “George wants to feel in control of what comes next, and French citizenship gives him that security and flexibility, regardless of what happens in his marriage,” according to the source.
