A Summer House alum is hitting it big with a Hulu comedy special, and no, it’s not Kyle Cooke. I kind of doubt he’ll be streaming the special either, cause he was never a fan of this person.
Kyle and the rising comic had a falling out in Season 5, which resulted in her being uninvited to Kyle and Amanda Batula’s wedding. Do you know who it is yet? It’s Hannah Berner, Paige DeSorbo’s bestie.
Hannah and Paige bonded when they both joined Summer House in Season 3. Unfortunately, tensions escalated following Hannah and then-boyfriend (now-husband) Des Bishop having sex in Kyle and Amanda’s bathroom. The Cooke/Batulas were upset that their private space had been disrespected. Amid the feud, Hannah left the house and was subsequently fired from the show.
Hannah Berner is coming to Hulu with a stand-up special
Amid her successful comedy tour, Hannah signed to join Hulu’s “Hularious” lineup with a brand new comedy special. Additionally, she hosts two podcasts: The Giggly Squad, co-hosted with Paige, and Berner Phone, co-hosted with her husband Des. As if a tour and two podcasts weren’t enough, Hannah also posts man-on-the-street interviews called Han on the Street on her socials.
In 2023, Variety named her to their list of 10 Comics to Watch. Meanwhile, in 2024 Netflix streamed her debut standup special We Ride at Dawn.
While the title of Hannah’s special is not yet known, she’ll serve as an executive producer on the project. The special will not only stream on Hulu and Disney+ in the US, but it will also stream on Disney+ internationally.
Summer House Season 10 will premiere on February 3 at 8/7c on Bravo. It is currently streaming on Peacock.
