Want To Write For Reality Tea? Looking For Freelancers To Join Our Team!

We’re looking for a few passionate reality TV fans who want to write news articles, podcast transcriptions, and/or show recaps!

If you’re someone who keeps up with the latest episodes and the latest news on the most popular (and not so popular) reality TV shows and stars, we want to hear from you!

We’re looking for fans with knowledge of the reality shows and stars that we cover here on Reality Tea (Teen Mom, 90 Day Fiance, Real Housewives and others – but it’s not required that you need to know them all!).

To apply, send an email to [email protected] with the following information:

  1. Which shows you are most familiar with and are interested in covering
  2. If you’re interested in show recaps or news articles or both
  3. A sample of your writing (not something you wrote previously that’s unrelated to reality TV).
    1. If you’re applying for a recapper position, send over a recap of the first 10-15 minutes of a show that aired this week. Example here.
    2. If you’re applying for a podcast transcriber position, send over a sample of the first 10 minutes of a reality related podcast interview that aired this past week. Example here.
    3. If you’re applying for a news position, send over a sample article of something reality TV star related that was in the news in the past week. Approx. 250-300 words.  A Few Examples here, here, here and here.

And yes, these are paid freelance positions – not enough to buy a yacht, but probably enough to buy some pinot and popcorn.

Heather Dubrow On Her Podcast, Housewives She Keeps In Touch With, & The Possibility Of Returning To Real Housewives Of Orange County

Most of the former Housewives would do just about anything to be back on the show again. Heather Dubrow is not one of those Real Housewives alums. You won’t catch her making a cameo appearance to stir the pot or throwing shade at current cast members on social media. She is one of the very few ex-Housewives who is happily retired from the game.

Even so, that doesn’t mean that she’s retired in general. Heather is more than busy with all of her endeavors. Her podcast Heather Dubrow’s World just reached a major milestone of 30 million downloads. She already wrote one book with her husband, Botched star Dr. Terry Dubrow, and they are working on their second. Not only that, but she also has four kids and an immaculately decorated mansion to take care of. Heather doesn’t necessarily “miss” the Housewife life, but she emphasized that she is very aware of all the opportunities being on Real Housewives of Orange County has afforded her and how grateful she is in an interview with Reality Tea.

Season 36 of Survivor is now officially in the books, and it was an unprecedented finish. Heading into the night, the game was being dominated (no pun intended) by Dom and Wendell, with Laurel, Donathan, Angela and Sebastian all still vying for the million dollar prize and title of Sole Survivor. To say the finish was epic would be an understatement.

After last week’s surprise double-Tribal Council, we were left with just eight players left in the game of Survivor this season. This week there were less surprises, but nonetheless the game trimmed out one more player, a player that you may not have even known was there for much of the season.

Exclusive – Survivor: Ghost Island’s Brendan Shapiro:

To win Survivor, there is always an element of luck and chance, but for 41-year-old phys-ed teacher Brendan Shapiro, the odds stacked against him were just too much. His fate was determined ultimately by Michael, who chose incorrectly as to whom he should use his Immunity Idol on.

Survivor: Ghost Island: Morgan Ricke

The tribe swap is one of those exciting moments each season in Survivor, where the course of the game completely shifts. For some, it’s a lifeline that saves them from having been in a terrible position on their old tribe. For others, it’s a not-so-subtle reminder of how much luck is needed to get far into the game, as by the luck-of-the-draw, some players are knocked from their position of power and are left trying to figure out their next move on the bottom of their new tribe.

One thing is for sure though: Somebody gets voted-out after every tribe swap, meaning that the tribe swap always claims a victim. This season, that victim was 29-year-old marine animal trainer, Morgan Ricke, who pretty much nobody thought was in any danger this week.
