Freida Parton did not get in trouble with her sis, thank you very much. Earlier this year Freida caused panic among Dolly Parton fans when she asked for prayers for the singer during some health issues. Insiders then said the fallout from her comments had caused a rift in the family. But in a recent interview, Freida insisted there was no beef among the Partons.
Did Freida Parton face backlash for worrying fans about Dolly’s health?

Freida caused quite a commotion in October when she asked fans to pray for Dolly. The singer had postponed her Vegas residency for almost a year due to undisclosed health issues.
Dolly assured fans she was fine, saying in a video posted the following day “I ain’t dead yet!”
But the alarm caused by Freida’s comments was said to have sparked a feud within the Parton family. There was never any falling out, though, says Freida.
She told News Channel 11 that the country star wasn’t upset about the post, and explained that her words were inspired by their mom. She said: “I just said what I said because Mama told us to pray. And so I prayed, and I wanted people to pray for her because she wasn’t feeling good. It’s like, hey, I didn’t mean it to happen. I just asked for people to pray for [her] because that’s the way I was raised.”
Freida added that, far from being miffed at the incident, Dolly probably assumed she just wasn’t internet savvy. “She probably thought, ‘Well, she didn’t know about the internet then. She had no idea,’” she continued. “So I didn’t get in trouble with her or none of the family. But some people were very upset with me because I had said that.”
