Watching Nicki Minaj’s descent into the MAGA universe has been troubling for Barbz worldwide. That includes Dr. Contessa Metcalfe from Married to Medicine.
The Bravo star recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live, and she didn’t mince her words when talking about Nicki’s sudden shift to the right. She’s brokenhearted over it.
M2M’s Dr. Contessa Metcalfe said Nicki Minaj is “agitating” her “spirit”
Contessa appeared on the January 11 episode of WWHL, alongside Real Housewives of Potomac newbie Angel Massie. Inspired by a comment from the latest Potomac episode, Andy asked the ladies to name something that was agitating their spirits.
“We’re all going to go around and say one thing that is currently agitating our spirit,” Andy said.
While Angel used the moment to take a swipe at her castmates, Contessa’s mind went straight to Nicki. Like many Nicki fans, she’s feeling frustrated over the rapper’s recent support of Donald Trump.
“You know who’s agitating my spirit? Nicki Minaj!” Contessa said. “I feel like she broke our hearts. We were rooting for her, and she just, like, left us in the dust. Very disappointed.”
Andy weighed in with a reminder that Nicki was a “big” fan of RHOP. Contessa wasn’t swayed, and we’re all trying to collectively forget the time when she hosted a chunk of the reunion.
Contessa replied, “Is she anymore, though? I mean, it’s not really Christian, so I don’t know, right?”
As Nicki’s fans continue to grapple with her new persona, Contessa pointed out just how different she is today, compared to the woman who burst onto the scene all of those years ago. The woman we met in the Pink Friday era is gone.
“We met her spread eagle, so it’s quite interesting to see that Nicki Minaj is so judgmental these days,” Contessa said. “It’s just heartbreaking.”
