In great news for kids, and absolutely terrible news for parents, Peppa Pig has just released a pop song. The iconic cartoon character has covered Kelly Clarkson’s Stronger, which was originally released by the American Idol winner in 2011.
Could Peppa Pig top the charts with her take on Kelly Clarkson’s Stronger?
Stronger (Peppa’s Version) encourages children to face everyday challenges with confidence. On the track, Peppa is joined by other characters from her hit TV show, including Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, and Rebecca Rabbit, to name a few.
Peppa’s take on Kelly’s iconic song is already available to listen to on YouTube via the official Peppa Pig Music Channel (yes, she has her own music channel), as well as most major streaming sites.
This is not the first time that Peppa has released a pop song, however. Along with the many nursery rhymes and children’s songs that she has released, Peppa has covered a number of smash hits. These include Katy Perry’s Roar and BTS’ Dynamite.
Earlier this week, Peppa took to Instagram to tease the release of her new song. “New music dropping tomorrow! Can you guess what it is?” she wrote in the caption. In the image of Peppa, she showed off a larger-than-usual bicep, hinting at the name of the song.
“Peppa’s new chapter,” someone said in the comments, as another said, “Peppa’s doing weight lifting?”
Other people suggested Peppa could be doing a collaboration with Harry Styles, who has also been teasing new music recently. “Harry Styles, is that you?” one person said. “Wait, Peppa and Harry collab??” asked another.
When Peppa eventually dropped the song on Instagram, fans ate the announcement up. “This is peak!” someone said.
