Sandra Diaz-Twine Talks Survivor 50: ‘I Want To See…’ — Exclusive

There is no question that Sandra Diaz-Twine is the “Queen of Survivor.” She was the first player to ever win two seasons of Survivor, and it isn’t surprising due to her skillful gameplay. She also competed on Season 2 of The Traitors, where she was a Faithful. And now, Sandra signed on for Season 2 of Extracted.

During Extracted, Sandra strategized with her daughter, Nina Twine, in Headquarters. Meanwhile, Nina’s boyfriend, Eric Rivera, was trying to survive in the Canadian wilderness. Sandra and Nina were competing with other families to get much-needed supplies for Eric.

Reality Tea recently sat down with the Extracted trio, and we couldn’t resist asking Sandra and Nina about Survivor Season 50.

Nina, who played Australian Survivor twice and won The Anonymous, has some ideas about what we will see on Season 50.

“I’m expecting to see some, you know, familiar gameplay, but also some people reinventing themselves. And so, I want to see who’s willing to make that change, and how they do so,” Nina stated.

For Sandra, it is like a family reunion. “And for me … I know so many of the cast members. It’s hard to root for one over the other because a lot of them have been my friends for years. I mean, I’ve played with some of them,” Sandra explained.

“But, like, Nina said, I want to see what they bring to the table for Season 50 because there are only two or three winners there. Everyone else is coming back again for another redemption.”

The Survivor legend added, “And some of them have already had four, five, six opportunities. So, let’s see what they do this time, but I’m super excited for it.”

Of course, Season 50 of Survivor will feature 12 players from the New Era and 12 contestants from the old-school version.

Survivor is set to premiere on Wednesday, February 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
