The Traitors UK has some important differences from its US counterpart. In The Traitors US, the first season was a mix of normal folk and celebrities. However, Season 2 ushered only celebrities into the castle. And now, Celebrity Traitors UK is hoping to add a glittering Hollywood actor to its second star-studded season.
Of course, The Traitors UK announced it’s first celebrity season in 2024. “The news of a fourth outing, alongside a brand new celebrity version coming to the BBC, will take the series to a whole new level,” Kalpna Patel-Knight, BBC’s head of entertainment, stated. “Let the mind games begin!”
Is Hugh Grant joining Celebrity Traitors Season 2?

The Celebrity Traitors UK cast list consisted of athletes, singers, comedians, and reality stars, among others. Some well-known players included Alan Carr, Celia Imrie, Charlotte Church, Stephen Fry, Paloma Faith, and Jonathan Ross. It was fun to see the UK version of The Traitors mix up the formula and embrace the chaos. And the celebrity casting rumors that swirled around the series were wild.
Meanwhile, The Sun reported that the show is eyeing Hollywood royalty for its second celebrity season. Reportedly, Hugh Grant would add some glitter to the castle. A source stated, “They know landing Hugh would be a huge coup, but think he would be a brilliant addition.” The insider added, “Bosses are determined not to get the same tired reality stars who sign up to every series going.” However, Hugh’s representative did not respond to The Sun’s request for comment.
In addition, the BBC announced, “We aren’t commenting on speculation and details for The Celebrity Traitors series two will be announced in due course.” Reportedly, the show is set to shoot in May at Ardross Castle in Scotland. Once again, Claudia Winkleman will host.
We will have to wait and see if the Notting Hill actor decides to hit up the Scottish Highlands.
Celebrity Traitors UK is streaming on Peacock.
