Meghan Markle Takes Charge as Prince Harry Changes Opinion on Privacy — Source

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly easing up on kid privacy rules. “He trusts her completely,” a source said, pointing to a more controlled approach. The change is being read as a shift in how the Sussexes manage their image.

Until now, the couple kept their kids, Archie and Lilibet, mostly off social media. Recently, talk suggests the media strategy of the royal couple’s children is curated, not closed. So, a few planned moments could replace near-total silence.

Prince Harry trusts Meghan Markle with new approach, claims source

As per Rob Shuter’s report dated February 16, 2026, insiders describe a deliberate pivot. One insider said Harry was “adamant about privacy” early on. They said the rule was “no faces, no exposure, no brand strategy around the kids”. However, the report says that the stance “has softened over time”.

Now, sources say he is aligning with his wife’s approach. A longtime source said, “He’s evolved to align with Meghan”. They added, “He trusts her completely”. “If she believes this is smart for the family, he backs her 100 percent” the source added. Meanwhile, the report frames the media rollout of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s kids as “controlled access”. It also cites “strategic glimpses” and “emotional investment”. Still, the goal is visibility without tabloid chaos. For years, they have pitched California life as calmer.

At the same time, the story links the playbook to Kris Jenner’s empire-building. One source said, “Kris and Meghan are friendly, they talk”. They claimed Jenner has “absolutely advised her on brand control and family positioning”. A branding expert said, “Meghan understands narrative power”. The same expert added, “Meghan sees the blueprint”.

They also said, “You don’t flood the market”. Instead, “You release moments”. “You create conversation”, the source added. In turn, supporters call it modern media management. Critics point to old privacy promises. Ultimately, the report claims the Sussex family brand is “firmly in Meghan’s hands”. It adds that the Duke of Sussex is “fully on board” for what comes next.
