Neve Campbell is sharing how she happened to cross paths with someone in the royal family. The actress from the Scream franchise was previously seen with Prince Harry. Those sent rumors swirling that the two had previously gone out on a “date” together.
Neve set the record straight in an interview last weekend. Both Harry and the Canadian film star have long-term partners. Harry and Meghan Markle have been married since 2018 and have two children. Neve has two kids with JJ Feild.
Did Neve Campbell and Prince Harry get romantic?
How Harry and Neve met was a pure coincidence. In an interview with The Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday, Neve explained how that came to be. “I went to a friend’s birthday party, and someone said, ‘There’s Harry!’” Neve claims. At first, she wondered who her friend was referring to, not knowing it was the Prince. She says it wasn’t a date.
She adds that she and the Duke of Sussex struck up a conversation at the costume party. According to her, Harry confessed that he had a poster of her from when he was a child. Neve had starred in the hit TV series Party of Five. Hearing Harry make that admission was a little awkward for her. She wonders if, at the time, he just said that as a pickup line.
Neve says the two had a dance and a good time at the party but didn’t exchange numbers. She adds that when they were talking, the Prince spoke fondly of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
As of May 2025, Neve is said to have a net worth of $10 million. Later this year, she will reprise her role as Sidney Prescott in the seventh installment of the Scream franchise. That film is currently in post-production. Scream 7 comes out on February 27th.
