Meghan Markle’s large ring collection has been scrutinized since her 2017 engagement to Prince Harry. Throughout the years, the former actress has altered her ring designs. This includes adding extra bands and innovating her ring stacking.
Her extravagant hand baubles are the talk of the town after she appeared at the 75th All-Star NBA game on February 15. Here, she sported a new ring with a large pear-shaped diamond set within a gold band. According to experts, this overshadows her original engagement ring.

In a HELLO! interview, Monique Daniels Daw, head of manufacturing at London jeweler Queensmith, says Meghan’s latest ring is “a trendy pear cut diamond” and about 5 carats. The sleek solitaire band is most likely yellow gold, which complements the diamond’s warm tones, she says.
The Duchess of Sussex’s diamond is on the “lower end of the color grade scale,” Monique says, so it is most likely natural and not lab-grown. Lab-grown diamonds are more sustainable, so natural stones are not compatible with Meghan’s environmentally friendly stance.
“A natural diamond of this size and color would likely be valued in the region of £140,000 (or $189,519.40 USD),” she added. “If lab-grown, the cost would be significantly lower, around £8,000 (or $10,838).”
Steven Stone jewelry expert Maxwell Stone estimates Meghan’s total ring stack is worth a total of £210,000 or more than $284,000. “Prince Harry proposed to Meghan Markle in 2017 with a custom-designed three-stone engagement ring,” he to HELLO!. This included a 3-carat cushion-cut diamond from Botswana, “along with two smaller diamonds from Princess Diana’s jewelry collection.” More than a year later, Meghan replaced the original yellow gold band with a diamond-studded one. “The ring features high-quality stones with exceptional clarity, thus, I’d value it at approximately £120,000 (equal to $162,570),” Maxwell estimates.
