Prince Harry never felt comfortable with the links made between him and his infamous uncle. The ex-Prince Andrew was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of misconduct while in public office. Even before that, many had lumped the two together, something Harry never seemed to enjoy.
An insider claims that Harry was “frustrated by the comparisons.” According to the source, the youngest son of King Charles never felt it was fair to put him and Andrew together. Harry had previously served his country while in the military. Despite that, he lost some security and housing while Andrew reportedly got protection on those fronts for years.

While Harry and Andrew will forever have family ties, there is a huge contrast between the two. The insider describes Andrew’s arrest as an embarrassment to the royal family, including Harry, who left royal life years ago. “It leaves a stain on everybody,” an insider told People about Andrew’s arrest.
In October, Harry was reportedly worried that he might lose his royal status after his uncle had lost his. That happened to Andrew due to his ties with the disgraced late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew was also evicted from his Royal Lodge home as a result.
As for how Harry would react to his uncle’s arrest, the insider said the former believes in “justice and accountability.” They say that’s in line with the Prince’s character. Harry left royal life at a time when the institution was still closing ranks around Andrew but seemingly still protecting him.
Harry’s 2023 tell-all memoir, Spare, divulged plenty of supposed secrets in the royal family. In the book, he recalled a conversation with his wife, Meghan Markle, about whether their palace security might be withdrawn. He said that he never imagined that would happen because Andrew retained his security detail. This was even after what Harry called the shameful scandal with Jeffrey Epstein.
