Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Lisa Rinna has a new memoir titled You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It. In the book, Lisa remembers what it was like to work for Donald Trump on The Apprentice.
When Lisa competed on Celebrity Apprentice in 2011, she got fired during her second week. “The night I got Trump’s signature, ‘You’re Fired!’ I called Harry [Hamlin, her husband] sobbing from my room at 12:30 in the morning,” she wrote. But two years later, when she returned for Celebrity Apprentice: All-Stars, she finished in fourth place.
“Everyone always asks me to spill the tea on Trump, but I don’t have any,” she wrote, calling him in her book America’s “Circus Peanut in Chief.”
Lisa Rinna saw “no signs” of Donald Trump’s future during The Apprentice

“There were no signs back then that he’d become the monster he is today,” The Traitors star continued. “Trump was a great entertainer. He would come out, say his lines, do his job and move it along.”
“I do find it interesting that I didn’t think Trump was gross at the time,” she added. “Flash forward to today, I really dislike him. I think he’s horrible and has ruined the world. I was as shocked as anybody at who he became. Maybe he’s always been that way, and he finally took the mask off.”
When she left RHOBH in 2023 after eight seasons on the show, Lisa blamed her opinions about Trump for fans turning against her. Calling herself a “truth teller,” Rinna’s mouth always got her into “so much trouble.” At one point, Bravo fined her $50,000 for her “impulsive opinions” on social media.
But Lisa claims when she returned for her final season of Real Housewives, she was grieving her mother’s death. Fan favorite Lois Rinna passed away just three days before filming began on Season 12.
The Apprentice is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
