We’re only a few months into 2026, but this year is so far turning out to be the best yet for Bad Bunny.
Although the musician, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, already had millions of fans, he became a household name last month for his record-breaking Super Bowl Halftime Show performance. Now, Bad Bunny has broken another record.
Bad Bunny is breaking Spotify records with huge streaming numbers

According to Pop Crave, Bad Bunny has “the two fastest albums in history to reach 10 billion streams on Spotify.”
As for the albums in question? These are Un Verano Sin Ti and DéBI TiRAR MáS FOToS.
“He’s operating on a different level,” a fan, @FayXanthopoulou, said in response to the news. “10 billion streams… TWICE. Bad Bunny is in a league of his own,” added @IamCara1212.
News of Bad Bunny’s win on the music streaming platform comes weeks after he made history with his Superbowl Half Time Show. He became the first artist to ever perform the 13-minute set entirely in Spanish. During the show, Benito was joined by a host of famous faces, including Pedro Pascal, Lady Gaga, and Cardi B.
But Bad Bunny’s performance did not go without controversy. Donald Trump criticized the show, as did some celebrities, including Jill Zarin. That said, her social media rant prompted her swift firing from an upcoming series she was due to star on with the Real Housewives of New York OGs and Kelly Bensimon.
Despite his success of late, Bad Bunny has been quiet on social media. Shortly after his Super Bowl appearance, the musician completely wiped his Instagram page and has not returned since.
Bad Bunny did not warn his fans ahead of the Instagram blackout, but there’s plenty of speculation about why he chose to delete everything, including that he’s preparing to make a big announcement.
