Britney Spears’ First Husband Speaks Out To Defend Her After Arrest

One of Britney Spears’ shortest life partners is urging the public to ease off on her. Jason Alexander and the pop stars were married for a mere 55 hours in 2004 before getting an annulment.

The Seinfeld actor is coming to his short-term wife’s defense following her arrest early Thursday morning for allegedly driving under the influence (DUI). The public has blasted the incident, and even her own representative, Cade Hudson, expressed disgust.  Jason had a message for those attacking the Grammy winner.

Jason Alexander called out those judging his ex-wife Britney Spears

Don’t rush to judgment. That’s the message Jason is conveying to people following Britney’s DUI arrest. In an Instagram Reel, the Tony Award-winning actor urged everyone to “slow down with the headlines about Britney Spears.” Jason noted that Britney’s alleged blood alcohol level was 0.06, which, if confirmed, is below the legal limit in California of 0.08. In addition to that, he believes if the substances in her system were prescribed medication, then this narrative changes.

Jason calls it unfair for people online to assume drunk driving in this matter. He adds that rumors spread fast while expressing his disappointment about what he believes is judgment before proof.

While many are crucifying Britney in the aftermath of her arrest, Jason isn’t the only one in her corner. Britney’s longtime friend Sean Phillips calls her arrest “out of character,” while vowing to help her through this.

Since this news broke, Britney’s representative said her loved ones would be putting together a plan to support her recovery. Following the arrest, Britney reportedly had blood drawn to check her alcohol level. Blowing below the limit doesn’t necessarily exonerate you; however, police can still arrest you if they notice erratic driving.

Britney was reportedly crying throughout the booking process. She was released from prison early Thursday morning and is due to appear in court in May.
