Survivor 50 is off to an electrifying start. The landmark fiftieth season is the largest returnee season in Survivor history. After two episodes, twenty-one players are left standing. While some of them have received a lot of screen time so far, others have had nearly invisible edits. There are already several players who are exhibiting winner potential, despite the season only being two episodes in.
Which Survivor 50 cast members could win?
So far, there are four Survivor 50 cast members who have a decent shot at winning the game. This is based on the edits so far, as some tribes have received more screen time than others. During the first two episodes, these four contestants started their games off on a high note. It wouldn’t be surprising if one of them gets to the end and wins.
Rick Devens

Rick Devens has been one of the most influential players on Survivor 50 so far. After being placed on the Cila Tribe, Rick made a quick alliance with Christian Hubicki and Emily Flippen. The three decided to form a tight undercover alliance, which the rest of the tribe has yet to discover. Rick also received alliance offers from almost everyone else on Cila, which puts him in a strong social position.
In addition to playing a strong social game, Rick has quickly proven his strategic abilities as well. Before Cila’s second Tribal Council, Rick came up with the brilliant idea of planting a fake idol at Tribal. He brought Christian in on the plan, and the two worked together to orchestrate it. Rick successfully planted the fake idol, which is an incredibly impressive move right out of the gate. If Rick continues playing a strong strategic game while also dominating socially, he could have a real shot at winning.
Christian Hubicki

Christian is another frontrunner on Survivor 50 who could end up winning it all. Like Rick, Christian was placed on the Cila Tribe. After securing a strong alliance, Christian quickly proved himself to be extremely handy around camp. He impressed everyone when he was able to start a fire by using people’s glasses, and no one has brought up his name to vote out.
During the second episode, Christian found the Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol at Cila. He decided to send it to Aubry Bracco, in hopes of forming an alliance down the road. This was a smart move on Christian’s part, as any alliance in a game this big is extremely helpful. Christian also helped Rick with his plan to hide a fake idol at Tribal Council, where he brilliantly faked a fall to divert attention to himself.
Emily Flippen

Emily is the third member of the alliance with Rick and Christian, and she could very well win herself. So far, Emily has flown under the radar on the Cila Tribe. Nonetheless, she’s in a great position socially, and no one is targeting her. Emily is good at strategizing without putting a target on her back, which is important in a monumental season like Survivor 50.
If Emily makes it to the merge, she will have a good shot of making it far into the game. As a recent New Era player who didn’t win the game, Emily doesn’t have a huge target on her back. While Emily played a good game on Survivor 45, there are many other players with a bigger threat level. If Emily continues to hold strong alliances and manage her threat level while making moves, she could easily make it to the end and win.
Genevieve Mushaluk

Genevieve Mushaluk is on the Vatu Tribe this season, where she has already asserted herself as a strong player. After not prioritizing a social game on Survivor 47, Genevieve learned from her mistakes. She quickly helped to form a strong alliance of five on Vatu, which she is front and center of.
During the premiere, Genevieve found the Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol at Vatu. She decided to send it to Ozzy Lusth, hoping that he would get voted out with it, which would send the idol back to her. Genevieve is arguably the strongest social and strategic player on Vatu. If she continues on this path, she has a good chance of making it to the end and winning.
Survivor is available to stream on Paramount+.
