Despite being such a successful traitor, Rob Rausch is a good guy. The big winner of Season 4 of The Traitors is showing that in real life he’s a man of his word, he stands up for his beliefs, he’s good with money, and he is respectful in his relationships. This is why he announced he had a girlfriend.
Rob Rausch didn’t want his girlfriend to feel like a “secret”
Since his Traitors win, the world has been changing for Rob.
On that note, that’s why he went public with his relationship. Fans had already been speculating a romance between him and Traitors ally, Maura Higgins, because of their close partnership on the show. But they both quashed that rumor and Rob shared that he was in a relationship.
While speaking to PEOPLE about his partnership with Crown Royale, Rob shared that he hadn’t meant to reveal his relationship during the reunion. But in the end, he also didn’t want it to seem like he had anything to hide.
“I mean, I really never wanted to say that I had a girlfriend,” Rob admitted. “But, I didn’t want her to feel like she was a secret and that I wasn’t proud of her. So I decided, ‘Yeah. You know what? I’m gonna say I have a girlfriend.’”
“But I don’t want people in our life, in our business,” he clarified. “And she doesn’t either. She’s a private person.”
All fans know for sure is that Rob invested some of that prize money in a burgundy Hermès Birkin as an apology gift for Maura for betraying her on the show — with his girlfriend’s approval! Maura was so happy with her bag and all is forgiven.
