Meghan Markle’s Brand Might Finally Get This Royal’s Approval — Ex Butler

There have been reports that Meghan Markle is planning to launch her brand, As Ever products, in the UK. However, while supportive of Markle’s expansion, sources have earlier said, Prince Harry is encouraging her not to compete with King Charles Highgrove as it “touches on legacy, duty and the charitable work tied to the King’s name.” But an ex-butler has now claimed that the Markles’ artisan products are unlikely to be an “issue” for the monarch.

Meghan Markle’s brand unlikely to be an ‘issue’ for King Charles, claims ex-butler

Meghan Markle’s As Ever products might soon launch in the UK. However, sources have earlier told OK! that Prince Harry was encouraging his wife not to compete with his father, King Charles Highgrove, as “In royal terms, anything that appears to encroach on Highgrove’s commercial space is not just business – it touches on legacy, duty and the charitable work tied to the King’s name.” Hence, chances were that “Meghan’s expansion could be interpreted as siphoning attention or revenue from something that directly supports royal causes.”

But now it seems that King Charles might not have any problem with the Duchess of Sussex launching her artisanal preserves in his country. Shedding more light on the situation, an ex-butler told Express that King would have “no issues with” the former actress selling the products in the UK.

“I would be surprised if the King and Queen buy any of their products, but never say never. It could be a good way of showing relations are going in the right direction,” the former butler claimed.

However, he hopes that Markle “would send them a few jars to try. And if she did, I think the King would definitely make sure they were out if Harry ever visits – just as a subtle little sign of support and an olive branch.”
