A new batch of Bravolebrities has arrived with the Ladies of London reboot, but apparently, we almost met one of its stars, Margo Tilley, nearly a decade ago.
The model, actress, and socialite just dropped a mindblowing piece of lore about her past. She revealed that she was close to starring on a long-running, very American Bravo show. She almost shared the screen with the likes of Craig Conover and Shep Rose.
Margo was approached to join the Southern Charm cast
Ladies of London: The New Reign dropped its two-episode premiere earlier this month, but Margo explained to Us Weekly how she almost became an early cast member on Southern Charm.
“I’m from South Carolina, and I was going to Charleston, and Whitney Sudler-Smith was there,” Margo recalled. “He’s a friend of mine from London. Actually, that’s how we met. And we were there. We were staying at his house, and Patricia [Altschul], she’s just so fabulous.”
According to Margo, this happened when Southern Charm was still in its infancy. At the time, Whitney was telling her all about how he had a new show coming out about friends living in Charleston. He wanted her to be a part of it.
Margo recalled, “He was like, ‘You should be in this show with me,’” Margo claimed. “I just thought, ‘Well, I would love to, but I don’t live here. I live in London, and my whole life is in London, and my accent is gone.’ People don’t want to see me in South Carolina right now.”
Over a decade later, she joined the Ladies of London reboot as a full-time cast member. It’s like she was just destined to be a Bravolebrity.
Margo admitted, “It’s funny that Bravo found me eventually.”
Although Margo didn’t become a Charmer, she’s still got love for the show. She’d even be open to a little crossover moment sometime down the road.
“I love the show,” Margo admitted. “The characters are, like, ‘Oh my God, my home.’ Maybe I’ll pop up in Charleston one day. That would be really fun.”
