Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 5 Pauses Filming; Two Stars Ordered To Undergo Psych Evaluation

Trigger Warning: This article contains a discussion of domestic violence allegations.

Season 4 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives just dropped last week, but the drama hasn’t stopped. Unfortunately, the news isn’t good. During Season 4, SLOMW viewers saw Taylor Frankie Paul’s toxic dynamic with her baby daddy, Dakota Mortensen, continue.

In fact, while Taylor was prepping to leave for her stint as the next Bachelorette, the former couple continued to fight. They also hooked up during the cast trip to Los Angeles, and, according to Dakota, the night before Taylor left to hand out roses.

Now, production on Season 5 of SLOMW has been paused, allegedly because of accusations of both domestic violence and child abuse. An insider told TMZ that Dakota reportedly called the Utah Division of Child and Family Services repeatedly. He claimed that Taylor was physically abusive to Ever, their nearly two-year-old son. Reportedly, Taylor has denied these claims.

Meanwhile, in late February, Dakota and Taylor were in his car during an alleged heated incident. After a drink was spilled on Dakota and the seat, he reportedly became angry. Insiders in Taylor’s camp claim that Dakota became physical. However, Dakota called the cops and alleged that Taylor was the one who acted out physically. As you may recall, Taylor was previously charged with misdemeanor charges of commission of domestic violence in the presence of a child, criminal mischief, and assault. The charges were later dropped.

According to sources close to Taylor, Dakota disappeared for weeks after the incident, and that is why production was halted. However, insiders close to the series alleged that cast members refused to keep filming due to the abuse allegations. There is reportedly an open investigation. And now Dakota and Taylor have been ordered by DCFS to have psychological evaluations. As of this writing, the evaluations have not happened, and production is reportedly set to begin.

The Bachelorette Season 22 premieres March 22 on ABC. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is streaming on Hulu.
