SLOMW’s Jessi Ngatikaura Breaks Silence on Season 5 Filming Being Paused

Trigger Warning: This article contains a discussion of domestic violence allegations.

Rumors continue to swirl about why Season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has paused filming. Now, MomTok diva Jessi Ngatikaura is giving us the scoop. During Season 4 of SLOMW, Taylor Frankie Paul’s toxic relationship with ex Dakota Mortensen stressed the cast.

Taylor and Dakota share one child, son Ever. Reportedly, there is a “domestic assault investigation” involving Taylor and her ex-boyfriend. Meanwhile, the Utah Division of Child and Family Services allegedly ordered the former couple to undergo psychological evaluations.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star shot down one particular rumor

The No Filter with Zack Peter podcast host shared a video via Instagram discussing SLOMW. “Now, that said, I did see a report, like a blind item that was going around, that said something about how the cast was seemingly upset with Taylor for her kind of stealing the thunder of the show,” Zack stated. “And then now that she has The Bachelorette that’s coming out, like that’s really going to steal the thunder of the show. It seemed like maybe it could have been a jealousy thing.”

Well, Jessi said her peace in the comments, shooting down one rumor about SLOMW’s pause. “It was never a jealousy thing lol,” she wrote. In addition, an insider close to production has alleged, “The girls are very overwhelmed. They all banded together, and they don’t want to come back right now. They were just getting tired of Taylor, honestly.”

So, how does the SLOMW cast feel about Taylor’s Bachelorette journey? It seems that MomTok had some serious doubts about whether Taylor would find love. “I do think she learned a lot being there, and I think that she took away some really valuable lessons,” Jessi previously stated. “I think it’s gonna be an incredible journey for people to watch.”

The Bachelorette Season 22 premieres March 22 on ABC. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is streaming on Hulu.
