Taylor Frankie Paul is taking her turn in the spotlight as the newest Bachelorette. Her season premieres in days. Unfortunately for ABC, the firestorm of bad press involving Taylor isn’t ideal timing.
Taylor and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen are involved in an alleged domestic abuse investigation, with each party blaming the other. In addition, the Utah Division of Child and Family Services has reportedly ordered both Taylor and Dakota to undergo psychological evaluations. Meanwhile, Taylor is teasing a new man in a recent TikTok.
The Bachelorette star has somebody in her life
Taylor recently alluded to the abuse allegations. “I’m struggling for sure, but also at the same time I feel like if I don’t show up, then I’m just giving these opportunities away,” she previously explained. Meanwhile, Taylor shared a TikTok video with an unnamed gentleman. As Taylor danced, she wrote over the screen, “I can’t hear you, I’m kinda busy.” Then a man’s arm and a blue shirt appeared in the frame.
Of course, Taylor was asked about the mystery man in the TikTok during an interview with Good Morning America. “[That is] somebody that’s in my life, yes,” she stated. The MomTok star added, “But [I] can’t give away too much. That would ruin the surprise, wouldn’t it?” While we don’t know for sure if this is one of Taylor’s suitors from The Bachelorette, it certainly could be.
The Bachelorette premieres on ABC on Sunday, March 22 at 8/7c. You can stream it the next day on Disney+ and Hulu.
