In the documentary Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model, Nigel spoke candidly about his fractured friendship with Tyra and his unexpected dismissal from the show. Nigel Barker has not spoken to Tyra Banks since the Netflix ANTM documentary
In a March interview with Page Six, Nigel revealed he has not spoken to Tyra since the documentary was released on Netflix. However, he did note that he is still in contact with many contestants from the show. He also spoke about whether he would return to the show if the rumored reboot comes to fruition. At the end of the documentary, Tyra teased that an ANTM revival may be coming, saying, “I feel like my work is not done. You have no idea what we have planned for cycle 25.” However, it is still unclear if the show has been greenlit for Cycle 25.
Nigel told Page Six he is unsure about returning to ANTM.
“I haven’t decided I would do that or not, but we are being approached and we are talking about multiple other ventures within the fashion space,” he said. “But whether we do that or not, I don’t know. I think it might be time to put ‘Top Model’ to bed.”
