Laguna Beach Reunion Trailer Teases Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari Going Head-To-Head

The cast of Laguna Beach is going back to high school! On Friday, April 10 the Roku channel will be hosting the Laguna Beach reunion, which will bring together the stars of the hit MTV show to honor the series that defined a generation. Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari, Stephen Colletti, Lo Bosworth, Talan Torriero, Trey Phillips, Christina Shuller, Dieter Schmitz, Jessica Smith and Alex Hooser will all return for the upcoming special.

The trailer for the reunion dropped on Tuesday, March 24, and fans can’t stop talking about one moment. Here’s the scoop.

The two cast members have their first-ever confrontation

Lauren and Kristin are finally hashing out their feud. The two were quintessential frenemies during the show’s run. And while they’ve since buried the hatchet, they’ve never openly discussed their complicated teenage relationship. That is, until now …The March 24 trailer opens with Lauren and Kristin sitting alone at the bonfire.

“We have never had a conversation on camera just the two of us,” Kristin says to Lauren.

She then asks Lauren if she is ready for the highly anticipated conversation, to which Lauren responds, “No.”

This is the moment millennials have been waiting for since 2006. Lauren and Kristin’s feud mainly revolved around Stephen. Kristin was dating Stephen, and Lauren was the best friend that didn’t like the relationship. It was very My Best Friend’s Wedding. However, Lauren and Kristin revealed on an episode of the Back to the Beach podcast that the drama between them was largely manufactured by MTV.

“My take on it is, you and I never really had any beef,” Kristin told Lauren. “I mean, obviously there was like a little truth to what happened with the three of us. But I felt like MTV coming kept it alive and made it way worse than it ever would have been.”

“Yeah, I think it was done when they started filming,” Lauren said. “This is what I remember. I remember everything happened — it was like a week before they started filming. We got into it and then made up.”

Laguna Beach is streaming on Paramount+.
