If you’re a Southern Charm viewer, you know that pillow king Craig Conover doesn’t have the best luck in relationships. Or with women in general. His relationship with Naomie Olindo, while it seemed good at first, was just a mismatch. Craigy felt really put down in that relationship, and we know he’s a sensitive guy. Even though Naomi was probably valid that he needed some motivation. He came onto the show with a crush on Kathryn Dennis, prior to her getting involved with Thomas Ravenel, but that fizzled out quickly. It’s probably best they stay friends, or else that would be a whole new mess.
While Shep Rose and Austen Kroll have a reputation for being womanizers, Craig always seems like the third wheel who isn’t one for approaching girls with cheesy pickup lines. And coming into Season 7, he didn’t have to anymore. He introduced girlfriend Natalie Hegnauer to viewers, who he raved was into his cooking, his sewing and all the other little quirks we love about Craig. Sure, she might have had a history with Austen, but nobody really cares about that. Unless you’re Madison LeCroy.
The new (and somewhat improved?) Southern Charm has a mind of its own. Madison LeCroy and Austen Kroll’s messy relationship has brought a ton of new drama into the mix that has us saying Thomas Ravenel who? And while the show started off as being an inside look into Charleston’s elite, now real-life athletes and A-Listers are getting in the mix, making the whole storyline even juicier.
As we know, Madison apparently has a thing for athletes. She allegedly signed an NDA after FaceTiming with Alex Rodriguez, who is engaged to the Jennifer Lopez by the way. She’s also claimed that she and Jay Cutler had a thing, but that might have just been a total dig at Austen. He and Craig Conover become close friends with Kristin Cavallari, so Madison was doing what she does best — fighting with him about it.
The latest season of Southern Charm showed off an entirely new vibe. OGs like Cameran Eubanks, Thomas Ravenel and more were out. The show confronted racism, the pandemic and everything in between. The only thing that stayed the same was Madison LeCroy and Austen Kroll’s turbulent relationship, and it escalated to new heights.
By now we know Madison has a thing for athletes. She’s allegedly FaceTimed with Jennifer Lopez’s fiance Alex Rodriguez and apparently signed an NDA about it. We also know that she has a thing for Jay Cutler, and that thing seems to be making Austen jealous. She was super pissed when Austen started hanging out with Jay’s ex Kristin Cavalleri, and thus began one of the messiest relationship webs in reality TV history.
Season 7 of Southern Charm introduced viewers to a (slightly) more mature Shep Rose. But frankly, his reputation could only go up after Season 6.
Who could forget all of the harsh words he’s shared with Madison Lecroy? Or his never-ending antics to break her and Austen Kroll up, such as inviting the girls from the infamous threesome video to a party the couple was at. And don’t even get us started on the video of him berating a homeless person.
Apparently, there are a lot of reality stars who get off on spite. We all remember Blac Chyna spite-dating Rob Kardashian to get back at Tyga and Kylie Jenner. Now, we have Madison LeCroy spitefully hooking up with Jay Cutler to get back at Kristin Cavallari and Austen Kroll… for being platonic friends. And, for the media attention, obviously.
Unfortunately for Austen, Madison clearly used him to get on Southern Charm, despite Patricia Altschul’s claims to the contrary. Fortunately for Austen, at least this mean he got a storyline too. However, he also got so much more than that, including heartbreak and embarrassment. He was visibly upset at the Southern Charm reunion while Madison smirked in response, thinking about how she secured her spot on the show for another season. Or at least that’s what I assume she was thinking about. She could have had A-Rod on her mind instead.
Oh come on, don’t act like you haven’t done this before! Madison LeCroy must be feeling “tension” aimed at her after this season of Southern Charm. Lots of folks are feeling some type of way about Madison because she was a big ‘ol meany pants to Austen Kroll and she may or may not have a penchant for athletes.
On the bright side, at least Madison’s scandals don’t involve racism (at this point) and people aren’t trying to hold her accountable for being either tone deaf or ignorant. That happened to poor Kathryn Dennis, the victim of systematic bullying after being called out for an incredibly insensitive text exchange with a Black woman. Hopefully Kathryn will somehow make it through these trying times. If Kathryn’s “mistake” was on one end of the spectrum, Madison’s latest guffaw is certainly on another. Sometimes people make separate social media accounts to comment on something and conceal their identity at the same time. And sometimes people forget to switch to their fake account before posting.
The Southern Charm reunion came in so hot on last week’s episode. Craig Conover was gunning for Madison LeCroy from the moment they stepped onto the stage. He came to the reunion with his sights set on wrecking her entire existence. The accusation that she slept with a former MLB player stunned the world. It’s been the hottest gossip since Craig dropped that bomb into everyone’s lap.
When the first part concluded, Kathryn Dennis was back to her old self and ready to spar with Leva Bonaparte. After a season that felt like a never ending crusade against her, Kathryn’s looking for a fight. She believes Leva has twisted her narrative and slandered her name, and she’s out for vengeance. Leva may have bitten off more than she can chew by messing with Kathryn. She’s been a wildcard since Day 1, and Leva’s about to find out why firsthand.
