Taylor Frankie Paul continues to dominate the headlines. Following the Season 4 premiere of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Taylor departed to do press for her upcoming season of The Bachelorette. However, a domestic assault investigation, along with a troubling video, derailed her moment.
Taylor and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, are both involved in an open domestic abuse investigation. In addition, when a tape surfaced showing a domestic violence incident from 2023, ABC shelved Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette. During the incident, Taylor’s daughter, Indy, was present.

During the 2023 incident, Taylor hurled metal chairs at Dakota. At one point, her daughter was allegedly struck by a chair, and could be heard crying in the background of the video. Taylor entered a plea in abeyance to aggravated assault. This means the charge will be dismissed, as long as Taylor follows the terms of the agreement.
A TikTok user posted a video about the tape. “The fact that Dakota did this to the mother of his child on his child’s birthday tells you everything that you need to know about Dakota,” the user stated. “You can both be an abuser and abused at the same time.” As of now, it has not been confirmed who released the tape.
Of course, Taylor hopped into the comments to share her feelings. “Worst part is my daughter having to relive and see it all over again years later after extensive work with her and apologies to her about that night, and my baby boy birthday was taken from him,” she wrote.
Taylor and Dakota share a son, Ever. Right now, Dakota has “temporary custody” of Ever, and a temporary restraining order against Taylor.
