Season 18 of RuPaul’s Drag Race is quickly coming to a close, and World of Wonder just announced a bunch of details about the upcoming finale and this year’s Giving Us Lifetime Achievement Award. Since 2023, they’ve been giving out the award to celebrate a celebrity while also killing time during the lengthy 90-minute time slot. This year, that honor is going to none other than Miley Cyrus.
The singer will be honored during the RPDR Season 18 finale
Past year’s recipients of the Giving Us Lifetime Achievement Award have included Bob Mackie, Cassandra Peterson, and Liza Minnelli. Clearly, things are skewing a little younger this year with this year’s recipient.
Deadline confirmed that Miley will receive this year’s award, which will play out during the Season 18 finale on April 17. The final competitors who will lip-sync for the crown are still to be determined, but at the moment, Myki Meeks, Jane Don’t, Darlene Mitchell, Juicy Love Dion, and Nini Coco are all still in the race.
Miley’s award will make her first appearance on Drag Race since Season 11. Fans will remember how she hilariously crashed the Werk Room while disguised as a crew member named BJ. This time, she’ll be on stage with Ru, trophy in hand, showing off that big old grin. Keep your fingers crossed that they’ll perform their hit song Cattitude.
Today’s announcement also revealed one of the lip-sync songs for the Season 18 finale, which, you guessed it, will be a Miley song. The final queens will lip-sync for the crown to a song that you’ve probably never heard of called Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved. It features Naomi Campbell and appeared on Miley’s 2025 album, Something Beautiful.
RuPaul’s Drag Race airs every Friday at 8/7c on MTV. The finale is on Friday, April 17.
