Ladies of London: The New Reign star Mark-Francis Vandelli is not holding back about his former co-star Dara Huang. Dara, who is connected to Princess Beatrice, only lasted a few episodes before she quit. Although her time was short-lived, did it negatively impact the royals in any way? Not according to Mark-Francis. And that’s because he thinks that “no one’s ever heard of her.”
Dara Huang quit Ladies of London after two episodes
Dara made a brief but strong impact during her two episodes on the show. In the premiere episode, she was the talk of Mark-Francis’ garden party when Margo Stilley and Martha Sitwell spread the rumor they heard that Dara was a “madame.”
Myka Meier was the only one to defend Dara, as she wasn’t there to do it herself. However, it was a thankless task, as Myka soon found out that Dara was saying she was “cringe” behind her back. Dara denied the charges but then had a hot mic moment when she admitted to producers she talked badly about Myka. Backed into a corner, Dara quit the show.
Being called a “madam” and flat out lying about name-calling on camera isn’t a good look. And since Princess Beatrice is Dara’s son’s stepmother, was the royal family possibly upset about Dara’s behavior?
Mark-Francis sat down with Decider to spill the tea on whether or not Dara was top of mind for the royals. The interviewer noted they had previously talked with Myka, who didn’t think Dara’s “involvement on the show went over very well with the royal family.”
When they asked Mark-Francis what he thought, he got right to the point. He said, “Shall I be brutally honest? I don’t think anyone in the royal family knows who she is. And I really don’t think they give a damn. Have you read the news lately? There is a lot going on. And Dara is the least of their problems. Trust me. No one’s ever heard of her.”
Ladies of London: The New Reign airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo. It can be streamed on Peacock the next day.
