Buckingham Palace Confirms King Charles’ U.S. State Visit

King Charles will be coming to America later this year. Buckingham Palace confirmed the speculation this morning saying King Charles and his wife Camilla will have a state visit to the US. No dates have been confirmed for the official trip, but it’s expected that the royals will be around for a momentous occasion in American history. The US will turn 250 on July 4.

Their program will also celebrate the long-lasting relationship both nations have. Donald Trump extended an invitation to the King and his wife for a visit.

President Donald Trump will host the UK monarch and Queen Camilla

Their previous meeting was apparently so nice that they wanted to do it again. This time, King Charles and Camilla will be welcomed to the US by Donald. In a statement, Buckingham Palace says the majesties’ programme will celebrate “historic connections and the modern bilateral relationship between the UK and the US.” The King and Queen will also visit Bermuda.

Reports indicate the royal visit will include a White House state dinner with the King delivering an address to Congress. This will mark the second time the President and the King have met in less than a year. In September, Donald was welcomed by the King and other royals. That marked the President’s second state visit to the UK.

News of the King’s visit comes days after US Congressman Ro Khanna made a public cry to Charles. He wants him to meet with survivors of the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Charles stripped his brother, Prince Andrew, of his royal titles last year because of his ties with the late sex offender. The King also evicted him from the Royal Lodge.

Charles has promised to fully cooperate with a police investigation into potential wrongdoing by his brother. Andrew was arrested earlier this year on his 66th birthday, becoming the first sibling of a living monarch to be detained since Elizabeth I in 1554.

No word on whether the King will get to visit his son Prince Harry. Harry and Meghan Markle relocated to the US years ago.
