Prince William and Kate Middleton reportedly do not wish to meet Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, anywhere other than a public event. The news came out after the Sussexes had been making headlines for their potential UK visit this summer.
As reported by The Mirror, Prince Harry has been expecting to receive an invitation from his father, King Charles, to share some “family time” with his wife, Meghan Markle, and his two kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, during the summer, in Norfolk. However, insiders told the news outlet that Prince William and Kate Middleton’s “personal stance” on the Sussex couple “has not changed.”
In the meantime, a source said to the news outlet that “If the King was to invite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to stay with him, that is a matter for His Majesty alone.” The person continued, “The Prince and Princess of Wales’s position has not changed.” The source further explained, “And they would not make arrangements to see them outside of them potentially attending an official public engagement.”
Meanwhile, Meghan Markle last visited the UK in September 2022. It was when she and her husband, Prince Harry, attended Queen Elizabeth’s funeral. In the meantime, the Sussex couple’s kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have not visited the UK since June that year during the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
