You won’t catch Alicia Carmody driving down the highway, and it’s probably for the best. The Real Housewives of Rhode Island star admitted in the latest episode that she has a questionable driving record, and it’s left her second-guessing anytime she needs to take a highway.
“I’ve gotten in accidents. I ran over a woman. I’ve almost driven off a bridge,” Alicia said during RHORI Season 1 Episode 2. “So, I’ve been there, done that with driving.”
Fortunately, it’s not as bad as it sounds when you hear the full story. But it was still bad enough to give Alicia “PTSD.”
RHORI’s Alicia Carmody clarified her wild story

We are two episodes into RHORI, and so far, this group is making our heads spin. We’ve learned about a sugar daddy, a woman who is related to her husband, and another who once ran someone over with her car. Instantly obsessed.
There’s not much context needed for those unusual relationships in Rhode Island. We’ve seen worse on Bravo, but when it comes to running a woman over with a car? Us Weekly had to get to the bottom of it, and Alicia explained exactly how it went down.
“I was driving like 15 miles per hour because I was just coming from a red light, and this woman just dove in front of my car,” Alicia recalled. “It was life-changing for me. It was crazy because I thought for 10 seconds I killed someone.”
That was probably the longest 10 seconds of Alicia’s life, and she called it “the worst feeling in the world.” She told the outlet that she wasn’t sure if the woman was on drugs or trying to harm herself.
Either way, Alicia wants to take “more classes” before she jumps back onto the highway. That’s probably a wise idea for everyone’s sake.
“I think that probably gave me PTSD,” Alicia confessed. “Accidents do happen, but it was just the worst.”
The Real Housewives of Rhode Island airs on Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo, and you can stream it on Peacock the following day.
