Caitlyn has claimed that Sophia owed her hundreds of thousands of dollars before she died last year. As a result, the Olympic-athlete-turned-reality-TV-star requested more than $439K from the socialite’s estate, per court documents seen by US Weekly.

Caitlyn detailed that the figure was made up of credit card charges, cash advances, shopping, and legal fees. The largest portion of the amount, which equated to more than $273,000, came from credit card charges at companies like Shopify, eBay, and more.

As for why Sophia used Caitlyn’s cards? Page Six reported that the former Keeping Up With The Kardashians star allowed her friend access to the credit cards for work, but had an agreement that any personal funds would be reimbursed. It is understood that following Sophia’s death, her estate allowed the claim for the amount Caitlyn asked.

Sophia’s death was confirmed in July of last year and listed as accidental. She was pronounced dead after the ATV she was travelling in hit the bumper of a moving car, forcing her 350 feet into a ravine. Caitlyn, who lived nearby, was at the scene at the time of Sophia’s passing.

Speaking about the impact of Sophia’s “tragic” death, Caitlyn later told Fox News: “It really hit me hard.”

“I’ve been dealing with death, and it’s so difficult,” she went on.
