When scandals hit, it’s usually wise to stay off social media. West Wilson, though, thinks it’s safe to wade back into online waters. He returned to his Instagram on April 6 to post a selfie. It’s his first post since the news of his romance with fellow Summer House cast member Amanda Batula shocked the Bravo universe.
The Summer House star is facing backlash
Both Amanda and West have been facing some intense backlash since going public about their “connection.” They must have known that would happen, but the rumors were already circulating, so they had to face them at some point.
Suffice to say, the reaction felt like Scandoval 2.0. There were secrets, betrayals, and friendships thrown by the wayside. Several Summer House cast members expressed their disappointment, and Ciara Miller and Kyle Cooke, West and Amanda’s exes, respectively, were not thrilled about the new pairing.
Kyle even went so far as to say he felt West was manipulating Amanda and taking advantage of her, completely ignoring the bro code. A lot has been said about West recently, and, for the most part, he’s stayed quiet.
But it looks like he’s back on social media. On Monday, West posted a casual selfie on his IG of himself and internet personality Lucas Brody. West tagged downtown Indianapolis on his post but didn’t add any further context or details.
Naturally, several other accounts picked up the post and re-shared it immediately. One account, @commentsbybravo, shared the post and a comment supposedly made by Lindsay Hubbard underneath that said, “Let’s do a white board about WW and explain everything to you … I’ll lead the charge @sohobrody.” The account said Lindsay’s comment was ”Reunion warmup” as everyone expects the cast to unload on West (and possibly Amanda) at the reunion.
