Ben Waddell is calling out Amanda Batula for her “bizarre” comment at Lindsay Hubbard’s housewarming party. In the April 7 episode, Ben vents to his Summer House castmates about how Amanda treated his love interest, Sabrina, at the event. According to him, Amanda suggested he was in love with her, which didn’t sit well with Sabrina. He told the group he plans to have a chat with her about the situation.
Here’s the scoop.
The Bravo newbie wasn’t happy with a certain conversation
At the end of Tuesday’s episode, Ben pulls Amanda aside to ask why she made that comment at the housewarming.
“That’s the first time I’ve taken Sabrina out to meet everyone,” he said. “At the end, she got a bit thrown off [when you said], ‘Everybody thinks that he’s in love with me.’”
He continued, “I don’t know why you kinda said it. It rocked her because she was wondering why. I don’t know if like you were joking.”
Amanda appeared stunned by the confrontation, telling Ben it wasn’t her intention to make Sabrina uncomfortable.
“It wasn’t intended that way at all,” she said. “I was literally singing your praises to her.”
The episode ended with Ben saying that Sabrina felt the comment was a “dig.” He told Amanda, “I came out here with you and Kyle. We’re all good friends. I just thought it was a bit sh*t to kinda say in that way.”
It appears the conversation will continue next week. A teaser for next week’s episode showed Amanda talking to Sabrina about the comment. Sabrina calls Amanda’s claim “bizarre,” saying she would never blindside Amanda like that.
Summer House airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It is available to stream on Peacock.
