A prominent social media influencer is throwing his hat into the political sphere. Dan Bilzerian has all the paperwork in order and is seeking to become the Representative for Florida’s 6th congressional district. He’ll be running as a Republican in the upcoming midterm elections.
Dan’s celebrity status and social media accounts could be powerful tools for him in the campaign. His Instagram account alone boasts close to 30 million followers. Dan had declared his intentions to seek the political position earlier this month.
The influencer is challenging for Randy Fine’s seat

Randy Fine has a little more competition on his hands. The Federal Election Commission confirmed Dan’s candidacy this week. We can expect to see Dan look very different when he knocks on doors to pitch to voters why he should be their advocate going forward.
The social media influencer is known for showing off his share of shirtless pics on Instagram. He is often seen as a partier.
Randy is the incumbent having assumed office in that district last year.
Dan is hoping to do a different kind of partying near the end of this year and represent the Republican Party in the House of Representatives. Despite what many know him for, Dan has been very outspoken about politics and finally decided to do something about it. He shared in a 2024 interview that his money didn’t make him happy. As such, he wanted to do something about it all. He admits to being a slave to content creation for a while.
Now that he’s a candidate, Dan joins his share of big names joining the political world. Spencer Pratt, who has over a million followers on Instagram, entered the race to become Los Angeles mayor earlier this year. YouTube star Brandon Herrera and Deja Foxx, known for TikTok and Instagram, previously ran for Congress in Texas and Arizona, respectively.
The other declared candidates in the 6th district of Florida are Aaron Baker and Charles Gambaro. The midterm and primary elections take place on August 18, with the final vote on November 3.
