The Duchess of Sussex is apparently in high demand amongst Hollywood bigwigs. The former Suits actress, along with her husband, Prince Harry, left their royal life behind and relocated to the United States a few years ago. Since then, Meghan Markle has launched her own product line, As Ever. She also appeared in two seasons of the Netflix program With Love, Meghan.
Word has it that directors and producers are “scrambling” to cast her in some upcoming productions.
The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly “bombarded” with work offers
Although she hasn’t portrayed other characters in years, many in the Hollywood world want to hire Meghan. A senior Los Angeles casting agent told Page Six that she has been “bombarded,” with offers from casting people. That agent says that studios and production companies are hustling to try and hire Meghan. It’s been said that she will have a host of roles to choose from with genres like horror and soap opera reportedly on the table.
In late March insiders believed that Meghan wanted to return to acting on a more permanent basis. At a red carpet even last month her former Suits co-star Eric Roberts declared that the Duchess was plotting to make a Hollywood comeback.
Over the past couple of weeks, Meghan has apparently been on the minds of numerous people in Hollywood. The mere thought that Meghan could make a comeback has “prompted interest the likes I have never seen in my three decades in the business,” according to the agent. If she were to get back into that world, she could enjoy the spotlight as a leading lady.
It’s believed that Meghan’s agreement to be part of any future production would lead to millions of dollars in investment. Numerous agents and studios are apparently looking to reach out to Meghan’s former agents. Meghan’s last television role, where she wasn’t playing herself, was in the Hallmark film Dater’s Handbook.
