Earlier this week, a representative for Britney Spears confirmed she had checked into rehab following her DUI arrest last month. Now, a source close to the singer has revealed that the two children she shares with ex Kevin Federline played a “big part” in getting her into the facility.

Speaking about Britney’s arrest – which took place in California on March 4 – and subsequent decision to go to rehab, an insider told People that her inner circle is looking out for her … particularly her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
“She was very upset and shaken after her arrest. And she’s terrified of going to jail,” the source said, adding that Britney has finally realized “going to rehab is the best option.”
“Her team has pushed for treatment since her arrest,” the insider went on. “People around her do care a lot and are constantly trying to support her, but it can be difficult.” To that end, the source revealed, “her sons were a big part of getting her to rehab.”
“They’ve been clear with her,” the insider added. “They just want her to be healthy.”
Concerns for Britney have been present on social media long before her recent arrest. Since her conservatorship ended in 2021, there has been plenty of speculation about her mental health, prompted largely in part by her arguably erratic online presence.
“There was a system in place during the conservatorship. Her life was structured and more stable,” the insider said of that. “There were people guiding decisions and making sure things stayed on track. With her independence, you started to see more instability in her day-to-day life.”
