Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seem to have landed in controversy once again. Recently, old “flirty” messages between the Duke of Sussex and journalist Charlotte Griffiths raised eyebrows. Despite the exchange dating back over a decade, sources claimed that the “Suits” alum has been concerned. She would reportedly want to protect her husband from making mistakes in the future.
Meghan Markle ‘furious’ at Prince Harry, says source
Meghan Markle has reportedly been worried about Prince Harry’s latest scandal. After flirty messages with journalist Charlotte Griffiths resurfaced, the duchess has allegedly been worried.
A source told Closer that the news has allegedly forced Markle to “keep watch” over her husband. “They can’t afford even the smallest slip up – she’s furious this has happened at precisely the time their critics are chomping at the bit for any reason to come after them, and if Harry goes down, so does Meghan,” they claimed.
According to the insider, Markle has always thought of Harry as a “naive” person who believes people easily. So, he might not realize when the storm could hit them. “His perfect family man image is a big part of her branding, and one mistake could instantly tarnish that,” they added.
Earlier, a report suggested that the mother of two was shocked to hear about the messages. The exchange was said to be a part of Harry’s legal fight against Associated Newspapers from late 2011 and early 2012. When it came out, Markle reportedly wanted to “know the full story and the precise nature of their relationship.”
Furthermore, a source told Star Magazine that the “Spare” author has acknowledged the exchange, calling it “playful.” “But he’s swearing up and down that’s as far as it went — just a bit of friendly fun and that there’s no need to read between the lines or associate his behavior back then with who he is today,” they said.
