On Tuesday, Guy Fieri took to his X to clear the air around his meeting with Andrew and Tristan Tate. He wrote, “I’m seeing all of your comments about the photo from Saturday’s UFC event and all I can say is that I’m devastated.” The 58-year-old further added that he “was there to see the fights.” He continued, “when I was walking through the venue, the Tate brothers stood up and said hello.” This is “when the exchanged happened.” However, he “did not know them or about them before that moment.”

Fieri concluded, “I’ll never pretend to be a perfect person, but let me be crystal clear, I do not know the Tate brothers nor do I support them in any way.” On Saturday, April 11, the Guy’s Grocery star showed up at Kaseya Center in Miami. This is when he was captured warmly meeting the Tate brothers. In one video, Fieri was also seen shaking hands and bumping shoulders with Andrew Tate. These moments were taken in bad taste by netizens, especially fans of the celebrity restaurateur.

For the unversed, the Tate brothers are one of the controversial figures with criminal accusations and sexist content on social media. In December 2022, they were arrested in Romania and were charged with human trafficking, rape, and organizing a crime ring to exploit women. Last year, the brothers faced 21 charges, including rape, human trafficking, and actual bodily harm. However, they have denied the wrongdoings. Moreover, they promote toxic masculinity on their social media accounts, boasting over a million followers. In an interview with a YouTuber, Andrew said he was “absolutely a misogynist.” He added, “I’m a realist, and when you’re a realist, you’re sexist. There’s no way you can be rooted in reality and not be sexist.”
