Epstein survivors reportedly request political support for an inquiry into ex-Prince Andrew’s controversial ties to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Although the Duke of York has categorically denied wrongdoing, his name continues to dominate headlines. As per reports, the UK Epstein Survivors Campaign is seeking political support to launch an extensive public inquiry into Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s alleged ties to Epstein.
Epstein survivors seek political support for Ex-Prince Andrew inquiry
As per a report by The Royal Observer, the Epstein survivors are set to meet the UK’s Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, to address a public inquiry into Epstein’s connections with the Duke of York and the British elite.
The UK Epstein Survivors Campaign has requested Burnham to stand by “truth and justice,” citing newly released US Department of Justice documents. The UK Epstein Survivors Campaign has also sought an extensive inquiry into powerful people who have “enabled, facilitated, or failed to stop Epstein’s global sexual abuse and trafficking network.”
In a statement by The Telegraph, the campaign detailed their motive: “Records and correspondence concerning Jeffrey Epstein, Peter Mandelson, and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, including reported discussions involving money, finances, and their relationships with Epstein, demonstrate precisely why the public deserves complete transparency.”
Both Mountbatten-Windsor and Lord Mandelson were arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office for allegedly disclosing important government information to Epstein. Both men categorically denied these claims and were eventually released under investigation.
The victims expressed anger at the decision. They explained that releasing ex-Prince Andrew and Mandelson, who were under investigation, delayed justice further. Notably, the Duke of York was stripped of his royal titles by his older brother, King Charles, last year. Although Andrew has denied wrongdoing, he has been disassociated from official royal family activities. He now lives a quiet life at Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, England.
