Kanye West is allegedly facing the music head-on. The controversial rapper has been in the eye of the storm countless times for his online rants. Among the more recent ones was his praise for Hitler and the Nazis while promoting Holocaust denial.
Online, Kanye, who these days goes by Ye, said “I take full responsibility for what’s mine.” He went on to say, “See you at the top of the globe.” In the past, he has discussed his struggles with bipolar disorder while reportedly going through manic episodes.
The rapper took to social media in a bid to “make amends”
He can’t take back what he’s said, but Kanye, or Ye, is seemingly hoping to make things right. On X, he said that he knows “it takes time to understand the sincerity of my commitment to make amends.” While he says that he owns his past behavior, Kanye says that he doesn’t want to put his fans in the middle of it. Kanye says that his fans mean the world to him.
Last year, Kanye created his share of outrage on numerous occasions. In addition to his antisemitic rants and praise for the Nazis, he released a highly controversial video. That music video was titled Heil Hitler (Hooligan Version).
Earlier this year, he apologized for his rants and opened up about his bipolar disorder. While many people think he’s using that to deflect blame off him, one medical expert believes his bizarre rants can be explained. Professor David Curtis is a mental health expert. He believes that Kanye may have had a “manic episode” which contributed to his antisemitic comments.
Several UK government officials have denounced his past actions. The rapper has been banned from performing at this summer’s Wireless Festival in London. His visa to get into the country was also revoked.
