Selena Gomez’s body language at Demi Lovato’s concert during her “It’s Not That Deep” tour raised questions. An expert recently pointed out that the two friends had different body language while greeting each other.
The “Only Murders in the Building” star reportedly appeared “bored” and less enthusiastic than the other. Meanwhile, the photo of the duo hugging and a video of Gomez grooving at Lovato’s concert have been circulating online.
Selena Gomez is ‘not resurrecting’ her friendship with Demi Lovato, per expert
A body language expert questioned Selena Gomez’s friendship with Demi Lovato. Recently, the latter returned to the big stage with her “It’s Not That Deep” tour. To show support, Gomez attended the concert and was seen enjoying the vibe.
Lovato shared a bunch of photos from her Orlando tour on Instagram, including one with her Disney friend. In it, the two hugged each other while smiling at the camera. With reference to this photo, expert Inbaal Honigman highlighted the difference between the two singers’ way of greeting each other. According to OK! Magazine, she claimed that Lovato seemed happy, while Gomez appeared “bored.”
“Demi is seen leaning towards Selena, this lean is showing that at that moment, she feels supported by her presence,” the expert said. Furthermore, the “Camp Rock” alum’s hand patterns and wide smile reportedly hinted that she was “welcoming” Gomez and was “thrilled” to have her by her side.
Meanwhile, Honigman felt that the newly married singer was the opposite. “Selena is standing solid on her feet, and her hip and shoulder are turned slightly away from Demi. She’s not completely in the moment, and wants to have this over quickly,” she claimed. According to the expert, Gomez’s “avoidant” hug and “much more muted” smile allegedly appeared less warm.
“Selena is doing Demi a favor to come and support her, but they’re not resurrecting their friendship,” Honigman concluded.
