Nick Offerman, who has been a long-time critic of President Donald Trump, called out the President for being the chief party planner for America’s 250th anniversary, as political tensions remain intense across the world. Actor and comedian Nick Offerman called out President Donald Trump for being the party planner-in-chief for America’s 250th anniversary. The actor made some sarcastic remarks about the President over this.

“Hang on, perhaps I am rushing to judgment,” the Parks and Recreation star said on The Daily Show. “We can only hope Trump puts as much love into America’s birthday as he would for Jeffrey Epstein’s,” he said, referencing the alleged birthday card that Trump made for the deceased convicted sex offender.

Trump denied making the card and sued The Wall Street Journal, which published the card. The lawsuit has since been dismissed.

“I abhor the message, but I do appreciate a handwritten card,” Offerman continued, “Any asshole can go to Hallmark, but calligraphy shows you care.”

The actor, who previously said that his renowned character, Ron Swanson, would have “despised” Trump (via Huffpost), said that Trump doesn’t “have anything else going on” before the Fourth of July celebrations. “Gas prices are hovering just below ‘Fury Road’ levels, but have fun picking out the balloons,” he added.

Offerman later quipped about how Trump is showing the ways “he cares about America.” He showed a clip of the Treasury Department’s plans to roll out bills with the President’s signature.

“Signing the dollar bills? But Mr. President, how can you sign them all? For that you would need — an autopen,” he remarked, mocking Trump for calling out Biden’s use of autopens.
