Fresh off a TO BE CONTINUED… note, Luke reappears in the wheelhouse, saying, “I think the best thing for me is to leave.” Captain Sandy respects his decision, and she also feels “grateful.” She was struggling with how to move forward with him anyway. When Luke asks if they can keep his decision quiet until the guests depart, Captain Sandy says yes.

Luke leaves the wheelhouse. But right away, a new problem arises for Captain Sandy. 20-knot winds are predicted tomorrow. So, she needs to dock the yacht tonight.

In the galley, Joy modifies her guacamole to satisfy Suzanne. Speaking of satisfying Suzanne, she and Will are really bonding. Aesha loves this. She hopes Suzanne picks him and not the “incredibly rude” Billy.

As the winds pick up, Aesha heads outside to help the deck team. Once they near the pier, loud music blares once again on a neighboring boat. The last time this happened, Captain Sandy ran into the dock. She reminds Nathan to “communicate,” and thankfully, all goes well this time around.

Aesha returns to service, where she encounters yet another crew win. Suzanne is finally praising Joy. Her meal gave Suzanne “a food orgasm,” Suzanne says. In her confessional, Joy hysterically admits, “I’ve never given eight orgasms in one night, to eight people and a dog.”

Luke spends his final night on board helping Joy plate her dishes. In the morning, Nathan spots his bags. Luke tells Nathan that he is leaving. Nathan understands, but he also realizes that the deck team is “totally f*cked” now.

One by one, the crew learns about Luke. In her interview, Joy says she regrets “being so hard on him.” But maybe, Luke hopes in his talking head, his and Joy’s paths will cross again.

The calm before several storms

After breakfast, matchmaker Amy sits down with the men. Suzanne has chosen Will, Amy tells them. The unchosen men depart. On the pier, Cooper tells Gen, the final in-the-dark person, about Luke’s decision.

Gen has a sliver of respect for Luke now. Once Amy, Suzanne, and Will depart, Luke tells the crew himself about his departure during their tip meeting. “The same water that boils an egg is the same water that softens a potato,” Luke explains. Kat visibly giggles at his analogy.

After learning about their $25,000 tip, the crew scatters. Luke finds Joy and gives her a big goodbye hug. Luke “screwed up a lot.” But Joy will still “really miss him,” she admits.

Luke finally departs. In his final confessional, he notes his hopes of “coming on Captain Sandy’s boat again.” And then he sighs, realizing exactly what his words just implied.

Unbeknownst to him, his move inspired Gen to do a reset of her own. Moving forward, she is adopting a new alter ego, “Zen Gen.”

Joe and Cooper save the day while Nathan finds himself in the hot seat

Cooper wants to “enjoy being single.” On the opposite end of that spectrum, new mom Gael is “sleep deprived.” Aesha encourages Nathan to go home to her sooner rather than later.

At the restaurant, Kayley and Joe make out while Cooper spends time with everyone but Kat. Across the table, Gael sends Nathan an urgent text, asking him to come home now, if able. Trying to juggle everything is just “hard,” Nathan tells Aesha.

Joy also receives a text, but hers is from Luke. He is not giving up on them, Luke insists. But Kat might be giving up on Cooper. She pulls him aside for a quick chat.

Cooper is in his head, he tells Kat, but he promises to do better. He and Kat kiss as the camera shifts to Nathan and Gael. Gael is deeply struggling. Nathan comforts her, and the camera thankfully exits, giving them space.

Overnight, the storm worsens. Captain Sandy wakes up Joe and Cooper, the only deckhands on board. As lightning strikes all around their heads, Joe and Cooper quickly resecure the yacht.

The next morning, Nathan runs late. “It’s very disrespectful, it’s unacceptable, and frankly, it’s out of character,” Captain Sandy explains in her interview. She sends Nathan a text. He responds, letting her know he is on the way.

Once onboard, Captain Sandy asks, “Where have you been?” Nathan says nothing, while yet again, the words TO BE CONTINUED… fill the screen.

Below Deck Mediterranean continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock.
