Karma has come back to bite an NFL reporter. That’s how some people are deeming the dismissal of Crissy Froyd by USA Today Sports. Crissy appeared to be dancing on Dianna Russini’s grave, believing she had disgraced female sports reporters.
Dianna resigned from The Athletic after a controversial photo of her surfaced alongside New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel. The two were spotted together at a resort in Arizona, leading many to speculate that the two are having an affair. The New York Times conducted an internal investigation, which determined the photos were taken at the Sedona Hotel ahead of the NFL owners’ meetings.
Crissy Froyd does “not regret anything” she said, despite firing

Crissy may have buried herself by publicly scrutinizing Dianna, but she doesn’t seem to care. Following her termination, Crissy told Page Six, “I do not regret anything.” Upon learning about Dianna’s resignation, Crissy took to social media, telling her, “Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.” Crissy believes that Dianna had an ultimatum to reign or the would fire her.
Mike is coming off a Super Bowl loss with the Pats in February, one he called extremely disappointing. The Seattle Seahawks beat his team 29-13. It was Mike’s first season as head coach. Mike has two sons with his wife of over 20 year Jennifer.
While Crissy accepted USA Today’s decision to can her, she had some parting words for one of her former colleagues. She took aim at the publication’s columnist, Nancy Armour. She says it is interesting that she a story about how, in her eyes, Dianna set women’s credibility in sports back, but “I am somehow unable to be gone on with after I said what I had to say about it.”
In conclusion, Crissy said that regardless of her future, she hopes reporters aren’t afraid to put themselves out there as she believes she did. She says that she is going out with her head high.
