Amanda Batula is allegedly taking a break from social media amid the controversy surrounding her romance with West Wilson. Although her Instagram is still active, the Summer House star hasn’t posted on her feed since Scamanda came to light.
The Summer House star is taking a social media detox
According to a post from Deux Moi, a fan interacted with Amanda over the weekend, and the Summer House cast member admitted she has deleted Instagram from her phone.
Amanda reportedly told the viewer that she doesn’t “have the IG app” on her phone at the moment. As for why that is? She “needed a break.”
News that Amanda has come off social media might come as a surprise to some Summer House watchers. She only recently returned to the apps, telling her followers at the time that she wanted to find some “normalcy” in her life again.
“I’ve obviously been MIA. But I wanted to come back on and say that I’m truly sorry to everyone I’ve disappointed and hurt, especially those I know personally who I’ve reached out to individually,” she wrote in an Instagram Story on April 10.
“For the sake of my mental health, I’m going to try to start living life with some sense of normalcy,” Amanda continued. “If you see me out or posting online, please know that this still weighs very heavily on me. I’m not ignoring what’s happened or what’s unfolded.”
Since then, Amanda and West have been spotted in public together several times … even kissing on the big screen at a sporting game.
Ciara Miller, meanwhile, has been on the cover of GLAMOUR talking about the impact of the Scamanda drama. “It’s a major mindf*ck,” she said.
