Steven McBee Jr. took aim at West Wilson over the Summer House alum’s comments on women’s sports. The 33-year-old “The McBee Dynasty” star came to the defense of Sophie Cunningham, 29, whom West criticized after she spoke out against transgender women competing in women’s sports last month.
West and Cunningham also co-host the Show Me Something podcast, a dynamic Steven described as “interesting” given their opposing views on the issue.

“It’s an interesting dynamic,” Steven said on the August 13 episode of Tomi Lahren is Fearless. “You have Sophie saying what she did and West saying what he did and they’re on the podcast together.”
Steven framed Sophie’s remarks as her own honest position and said she has every right to hold it. What bothered him was who else joined the conversation.
“Why has that become such a crazy hot topic?” he asked. “And for any man on earth to feel like they can give an opinion on what should happen in female sports is insane to me.”
He also revealed that he had messaged Sophie while the fallout played out. “I just said, ‘Hey, kudos to you for sticking to what you believe and not being scared to vocalize that and for continuing to go out there and just focus on basketball and sports,’ which I think is really all her and [Caitlin Clark] want to do,” Steven said. “They’re really bothered that this has become, now every single thing they do is put under a microscope and scrutinized so many different ways, whenever all they’re trying to do is go out there and play.”
Steven turned to his own life on the Fan or Fanatic podcast, months after his relationship with Allie Eklund, 29, fell apart. He accused her of cheating at the Stagecoach music festival in April.
“I’m in a much better place,” he said.
He pinned the breakdown on how differently the two of them wanted to live rather than on any fault of hers. “It doesn’t make her a bad person. Like, I think the world of her still. We just have very, very different ways that we like to live,” Steven explained. “I don’t think it would’ve worked long term, so I wish it wouldn’t have ended the way that it did. But I think it was going to end regardless.”
